James R. Gonsalves, 85, of Kekaha, Kauai, an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, retired Air National Guard staff sergeant and Pacific Missile Range Facility heavy-equipment operator, died at home. He was born in Omao, Kauai. He is survived by son Dayne, daughter Jamesette "Keikilani" Johnson, sisters Virginia Perry and Evangeline Hosino, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. April 30 at St. Theresa Church, Kekaha. Mass: 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery, Hanapepe. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
