Noboru Okamoto, 95, of Hilo, a retired house painter and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by son Ford; sisters Chizuko Tarutani, Toshiko Okamoto and Yoshiko Sasahara; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Private services. No monetary offerings. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Hilo Hongwanji Mission, 216 Mohouli St., Hilo, HI 96720.
