Josephine Yolanda Hulihee "Aunty J" Alapai, 86, of Milolii and Kailua-Kona, a retired King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel attendant and homemaker, died at home. She was born in Hianalole, Hawaii. She is survived by sons Robert, James, Joseph, Patrick, Hiram and Derrick; daughters Maile Goold, Cindy Kaulia, Cynthia Johnson, Nani Hoohuli and Seraphine Kaulia-Alapai Salazar; brother Kazuo Fukumitsu; 45 grandchildren; and 62 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 2 p.m. May 5 at the family residence, 74-5157 Puulokaa Place, Kailua-Kona. All-night vigil to follow. Additional visitation: 8 a.m. May 6 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kona Stake Center. Services: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kona Memorial Park. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
