75Winifred Pele Hanoa, 92, of Waiohinu, Hawaii, a retired Hilo Hospital practical nurse, a Hawaiian Burial Council kupuna consultant, Hui Malama Ola Na Oiwi director emeritus, and co-founder and president of the Punaluu and Kau preservation societies, died at home. She was born in Kau, Hawaii. She is survived by sons Ralph P. Dedman and Pernell E. Hanoa Sr.; daughters Georgia P. Dods and Elsa K. Dedman; brother Peter P. Bangay; sister Elizabeth K. Bell; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. May 7 at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 11 a.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
