Donald Dean Isbell, also known as "Don," "Pops" and "Mr. Iz," 85, of Kealakekua, Hawaii, a retired high school teacher, musician and an Army veteran, died at home. He was born in Montier, Mo. He is survived by wife Virginia, sons David and Rick, daughters Mahealani Holzman and Iwalani Isbell, brother Jerry, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Gathering: 4 p.m. May 10 at Old Kona Airport pavilion in Kailua-Kona. Celebration of life: 5 p.m. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
