John Gaston Daunie Sr., 79, of Kaneohe, a retired Hawaiian Telephone switch technician and a Navy veteran, died in Kaiser Medical Center. He was born in West Wego, La. He is survived by wife Shirley, son John Jr., daughters Glenda Passas and Terry Sherbert, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 4:30 p.m. May 13 at Borthwick Mortuary.
