CURTIS VIZE CARMICHAEL Curtis Vize Carmichael, 69, of Hilo, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016. Curtis was born on March 9, 1947 in Pahala. He retired as a Fire Captain from the Honolulu Fire Department with 22 years of service. He served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970. Private services were held. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Carol Sayaboc Carmichael of Hilo; son Jason (Kirk Streets) Carmichael of California; daughter Kanani (David Kanoa) Carmichael of Kea'au; sister Sidney (Alva) Strange of Oregon; grandsons Eduardo and Kahelepono; grand- daughters Kianna-Marie, Natalia and Laule'a; numerous nieces and nephews.
