GEORGE ALAWA, JR. May 8, 2016 George Alawa Jr., 83, of Honolulu, died at The Care Center of Honolulu, under Hospice Care. He was born in Tokyo, Japan. He was a veteran and member of Chapter VIII Special Forces Association. After retiring from Honolulu Gaspro after 30 years, he enjoyed playing and teaching keyboard at the Senior Center. He also enjoyed entertaining with a musical group at hotels and care homes. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Alawa and Aya Toki Alawa, and his son Michael. He is survived by his wife Miyoko Ide Alawa, and extended family members. Private services. No Flowers.
