Nikki Kinuko Krejci-Merritt
NIKKI KINUKO KREJCI-MERRITT July 30, 1974 ~ May 1, 2016 Resident of Discovery Bay Nikki passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 1, 2016 of natural causes from an undiagnosed medical condition. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her sweet and kind nature, generosity, and distinctive, joyous laughter. She was a beautiful person. Nikki was born in Concord, CA and graduated from Northgate High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Masters of Arts Degree in Communicative Disorders with Honors from the University of the Pacific in Stockton in 1998. She worked with autistic children and later worked for a local business rising to COO in that company. In the last few years she devoted her time as mother to her only daughter, a role she cherished. She loved to ski and loved Yoga and taught her daughter to love these things as well. She loved all water sports, her horse, Knight Time and her dogs Una and Tia. Nikki is survived by her daughter; her parents, Dr. and Mrs. James Krejci of Diablo, California; her sister, Dr. Sharon Krejci Mowat and brother-in-law, Robert John Mowat; and niece of Danville, California. She was particularly close to her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Toshio Kutsunai, M.D. of Hilo, Hawaii. Her paternal grandparents were the late Mr. and Mrs. William Krejci of Columbus, Ohio. We will soon be setting up a charitable fund in Nikki's name so that her short life will have a deeper meaning. Our hope is that Nikki's friends and family will make donations in her memory. Our intent is to use these donations to support the causes that were important to Nikki; including women's and children's causes and animal welfare
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
