Alfred Hanuala "Freddy" Rabara Sr., 87, of Kailua-Kona, a retired Hawaii Police Department sergeant, West Hawaii coordinator under Mayor Herbert Matayoshi, and a National Guard veteran, died in Nakamaru Hale, Hospice of Kona. He was born in Waipunalei, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Alfred Jr. and Rollin, eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Visitation: 8 a.m. June 4 at Helani Congregational Church. Services: 10:30 a.m. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
