Allen J. "Speedy" Wheeler, 76, of Virginia Beach, Va., an Army veteran who served in the 101st Airborne Division, died in Hampton, Va. He was born in Wahiawa. He is survived by wife Joanna O.; son Matthew Kalani; daughter Leimomi; brothers James, Russell and Douglas; sisters Mary Jane Phillips and Rochelle Wheeler; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services: 1 p.m. June 3 at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Casual/aloha attire.
