74Patricia Anne Barcena Kawamura, 70, of Hilo, a retired substitute teacher for the state Department of Education, died in Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Hilo. She is survived by son Michael Moniz; daughters Annamarie Moniz and Arnette Soares; brothers Joe, Rod and Abe Barcena; sisters Millie Kiyan, Rita Alcosiba, Leona Valencia and Cindy Baring; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Celebration of life: noon June 6 at Moku Ola/Coconut Island. Casual attire.
