Robert Susumu Kita, 85, of Keaau, Hawaii, a retired educator for Hawaii and Colorado community colleges, consultant for the state Department of Corrections Education System and teacher at various Oahu schools, died in Hilo Medical Center. He also was a junior varsity baseball coach at Farrington High School and an Army veteran with the 25th Division who served in the Korean War. He was born in Hawi, North Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Suzanne; sons Glen, Michael, Oran and Scott; brother Charles; sister Tsuruko Miura; and two grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. June 11 at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo.
