The Rev. John Lee Parish, 69, of Waianae, an author, minister and an Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War, died in Kapolei. He was born in Abilene, Texas. He is survived by wife Esther; daughters Shareen Dukes, Talitha Easterly and Danielle Parish; brothers Don and Kenneth; sisters Linda Murray and Frances Foreman; and seven grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. June 9 at Mililani Downtown Mortuary. Services: 9 a.m. Committal services: 1 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Flowers welcome.
