James Adlawan, 86, of Honolulu, a retired Kaiser Permanente Concrete Co. chief chemist and an Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Clara, son Steven, brothers Esidro "Sid" and Delfin "Del," sisters Dorotia "Tia" Waxman and Alitha Adlawan, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. June 14 at Our Lady of the Mount Church. Eulogy: 10:45 a.m. Mass: 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Committal services: 2 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
