Dr. John W. Edwards Jr., 82, of Hilton Head Island, S.C., a veteran of the Air Force and Army, a urologist in private practice in Honolulu and chief of surgery at the Queen's Medical Center, died at home. He was born in Detroit. He is survived by wife Ella L., son John, daughter Joella and three grandchildren. Services and scattering of ashes: 10:15 a.m. June 17 on the beach in Waikiki between the Moana Surfrider and the Outrigger Hotel at the Aloha Beach Services concession stand. Casual attire.
