Herman Kamakakukona Kopa Jr., also known as "Blue" and "Trooper," 69, of Ewa Beach, a firefighter and Navy veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Bernadette R., son Keola, daughters Keli Silva and Kimberli Kopa-Kaawalauole, brother Arthur "Butch" Simpson, sister MaryKay Simpson and eight grandchildren.
