JOYCE ESTELLE ROBERTSON March 16, 1940 - June 5, 2016 It is with sorrow and relief that the family of Joyce Robertson announces her death from complications relating to Alzheimer's disease. Dearly remembered by her niece, Alwyn, sister-in-law, Patricia Robertson, and cousins Donna Rygiel (nee Muskett), Tom Muskett, Derek Emery and Louise Emery Fell. Joyce was born at Toronto, and predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Estelle, and her brother, Hugh. Joyce trained as a physiotherapist at the University of Toronto, joined Queen's Medical Centre and enjoyed serving her patients for many years. Her hobbies included swimming, biking, bridge, and walking dogs at the Ala Wai community park. Special thanks go to Dr. Joey Kohatsu, Romeo Cardenas, Charlene Martinez and the many caregivers who looked after her at Queen's, Arcadia Retirement Residence and Kilohana Senior Enrichment Center. A celebration of her life will be held on July 6 at the Oahu Mortuary at 2162 Nuuanu Avenue. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory be made to The Queen's Medical Center - Physical Therapy Department.
