FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Leo Chong
$nameLEO LEE CHONG Leo Chong, 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 21, 2016 at his home in Honolulu, HI. He was born on February 19, 1923 in Wahiawa and later moved to Aiea. He was a retiree of the Pearl Harbor Naval Base Police Department and also worked at the Bishop Museum. U.S. Army WWII Veteran assigned to the 75th Infantry Division who fought in Normandy and Belgium. He was a recipient of a Purple Heart, a European African Middle Eastern Ribbon with two Bronze Service Stars, and a good conduct medal. He was proud to be an American and to have served his country. He survived by his wife, of 62 years Isabella Ventula Chong, and many relatives. Services will begin at 9:00 AM on June 20, 2016 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Burial is at 12:45pm at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Aloha attire, flowers welcomed.
