Hitoshi Sakoda, 82, of Hilo, a Hawaiian Telephone Co. retiree and an Army veteran, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Pepeekeo, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Shirley; daughters Lori Tanaka, Gail Fox and Sandra Aguiar; sister Hatsumi Kondo; and seven grandchildren. Visitation: 4 p.m. June 29 at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 5 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
