HARRY KEALOHAOKALANI WILLIAM ALCANTRA
HARRY KEALOHAOKALANI WILLIAM ALCANTRA Of Makaha passed away at Queen's West HospitaI on June 4th, 2016, surrounded by family and friends at the age of 62. He was born and raised on the Island of Oahu and lived on the Waianae Coast since the age of 3. He attended Waianae Elementry School and Waianae High School, graduating in 1970. He was drafted into the Army in 1970 and was stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama. A Vietnam War veteran, he returned home in 1973 to work for the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel as a Banquet Assistant Manager, amongst other jobs until he landed his dream job in 1980 as a plumber for CNR Plumbing. He attended Honolulu Community College under an apprenticeship training program for 5 years, retiring from Local 675 in 2010. He so loved his trade, even after retirement he continued to work for various companies ending at Forest City, Kaneohe Marine Base. He is survived by wife, Anna; son, Shelton Alcantra (Amelia); daughters, Brendene Hayashi (Jeffrey), Wendy Strickland (Jarrod), Brandy-Ann Moore (Joshua); brothers, Louis Young Jr and Gordon Alcantra; hanai brothers, Russell Jones, William (Billy) Jones, Don Jones, and Mark Yasuda; grandchildren, Dalton, Khyla, Ty-Cole, Dregan, Ashlee, Carlee, and Emma-Grace; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; babies, Sumo, Mochi and Puddy. Visitation at 5:00pm, funeral service at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, June 29 at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel in Waipio, Oahu, HI. Aloha/ Casual attire.
