James Oliver Walters, 77, of Ewa Beach, a retired Grace Pacific operator engineer and member of Local 3, and an Army veteran, died in Waipahu. He was born in Alabama. He is survived by sons Gene and Kevin Costa, and Vernon Walters; daughters Leila Villarreal and Winona Souza; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. June 29 at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, makai chapel. Services: 7 p.m. Inurnment: 10:30 a.m. June 30 at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
