Doreen Napualani Keohokapu Botelho Ishimine Makuakane, 87, of Kapaau, Hawaii, a retired Straub Clinic & Hospital clerk, former Kaiser Permanente dietician and Hawaiian-language teacher for Punana Leo o Kona, died in Kohala Hospital. She was born in Kapaau. She is survived by son Errol Ishimine; daughters Marlene Thurman and Shirlene Conklin; stepsons Jeffrey and Tim; stepdaughters Gabrielle Makuakane and Suzette Ventimiglio; brothers Delano and Purdy Keohokapu; sisters Adeline Lehua Mandac, Lily Farm and Judy Koffman; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. July 9 at Sacred Hearts Church, Hawi. Services: 10 a.m.
