Robert Roy Mercado Sr., 77, of Waipahu, a police sergeant and an Army veteran, died in Ka Punawai Ola. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Carmen O.; sons Robert Jr., Dean and Matthew; daughter Angela Laborde; stepsons John Fry, Ben Ganal and David Paco; stepdaughters Cheryl Jones and Debra Alexander; brother Clifford D.; sister Joyce M. Woodd; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 4 p.m. July 10 at Borthwick Mortuary. Services: 5 p.m. Inurnment at a later date. Aloha attire. No flowers.
