Thomas Yamauchi, 71, of Hilo, a retired Hawaii Tribune-Herald district manager and an Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War, died at home. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Louisa; sons Aaron and Andrew Yamauchi, Andrew and Michael Vento, and Kuenekina T. Oliwiela; daughters Angela Brokaw and Tiffany Paulino; numerous brothers and sisters; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 4:30 p.m. July 7 at Hilo Seventh-day Adventist Church. Services: 7 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
