James Leroy "Jim" Dawson, 73, of Kalaheo, Kauai, a retired program manager of operations at Pacific Missile Range Facility and a Navy veteran, died on Kauai. He was born in Garden City, Kan. He is survived by wife Verlene, son Randall S., brother Robert V. and two grandchildren. Services: 5 p.m. July 8 at Joe's on the Green, Poipu. Casual aloha attire.
