Frank Gomes Jr., 81, of KailuaKona, retired mechanic and owner of Kona Auto & Diesel Repair, and a rancher, fisherman and coffee farmer, died at home. He was born in Kealakekua, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Loretta; daughters Rosemarie Yamamoto, Pamela Yonemura and Bernadine Fujino; sons Ronald and Jason; hanai son Jimmy Bousche; sisters Lillian Choy, Agnes Tavares, Lorraine Loando, Thelma Henriques, Cheryl Pickett and Phyllis Shimatsu; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. July 16 at Kahaluu Beach Park Pavilion. Casual attire. No flowers.
