He moved to the Bay Area to live with our Mom and entered the trucking industry where he learned the many facets of the business. He longed for his Hawaii and decided to move home. He took over Paradise Trucking where he specialized in container hauling. During this time he discovered Henry Loui's and its "ohana". It was an instant and life long friendship when he and Anson Kaneshiro met. He fashioned himself as a Frank Sinatra "wanna be" and loved to sing Karaoke. He could play the piano by ear and had a repertoire of 6 - 7 songs. His favorite was Dahil Sa Iyo. He than joined Matson Terminals to run the Auto lot at Sand Island. He spent 15 great years making sure that Matson's auto customers received high quality service. Joby retired from Matson in 2009. He lived with and took care of our mom until we moved her to a nursing home. He then visited her every morning staying with her during the morning activities until she passed away in 2012.
