Hokulani "Aunty Hoku" De Rego, 57, of Waipahu, a kumu hula and founder of the Hula 'Oni E festival, died in Honolulu. She was born in Wahiawa. She is survived by husband Lawrence "Uncle Larry"; sons Larry Boy and Dustin; daughters Kehaulani K.K. Kawai, Leinani K. "Nani" De Rego, Blossom Fabregas, Kim Nakamitsu and Lohelani De Rego; hanai daughters Amber L. Naho'oikaika, Donnalyn H. Dela Cruz, Sally K. Sakama, Yuko L. Yagihashi and Nani Kamali'i-Chang; brothers Cupid P. and Greg Cruz; sisters Charlene P. Diamond, Darlene K. Cruz and Danette M. Cruz-Losano; hanai sisters Luana E. Pula, Susan E. Muldivar and Angie Tripp-Willis; 23 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. July 21 at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Service: 7 p.m. Casual/aloha attire.
