82Betty T. Jones, 89, of Hilo died in Hilo. She was born in Puhi, Kauai. She is survived by son Dean, daughters Karen Jones and Catherine Walsh, stepson Keith Steiger, stepdaughter Kathi Marciniak, brother Robert Tachikawa, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Private services held. Donations suggested to the Walter and Betty Steiger Physics and Astronomy Scholarship through the University of Hawaii Foundation.
