George Fred Escher, 101, of Kailua, a Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard training supervisor and Navy Reserve veteran, died in Kailua. He was born in California. He is survived by wife Miriam; sons Stephen, Greg and Fred; daughter Marilyn; stepson Glenn Rediger; stepdaughters Sharon Parr and Janet Glassford; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Inurnment: 9:30 a.m. July 29 at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Visitation: 1o a.m. July 30 at First Baptist Church of Waimanalo.
