Sammy Lee Carl, 74, of Forest Grove, Ore., formerly of Hawaii, a deputy director of parks and recreation and an Army sergeant, died. He was born in Ontario, Ore. He is survived by son Patrick; daughters Kimberly Carl and Keli Acquaro; brothers William E., Thomas L. and Gerald "Jerry"; and four grandchildren. Services pending. Condolences: fuitenrosehoyt.com.
