RAYMOND M. AKAHOSHI Raymond M. Akahoshi, 78, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away July 12, 2016 in Orlando, Florida with his family by his side. Raymond was born in Hilo, Hawaii on February 8, 1938. He inspired many lives as a teacher at Radford High School for 37 years. Upon retirement, he worked an additional 12 years for Hawaiian Airlines, where he enjoyed the benefits of flying. Raymond (Cutie) leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his wife Ruby Elizabeth; daughter Talei (Mike) Edmiston; three grandchildren, Aiko Rae, Samantha and Sydney; brother Walter Akahoshi; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on August 13, 2016 at Waikiki Baptist Church, 424 Kuamoo St, Honolulu, HI 96815. Visitation at 10:00AM, followed by a Memorial Service and celebration of Raymond's life at 11:00AM. Spreading of the ashes will be done privately by the family.
