Edward Kaohu Kalama, 85, of Pearl City, a retired city building inspector and a retired Army sergeant first class, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Loretta; son Edward Jr.; daughters Ellen Kalama Clark, Lori Kalama-Bartz and Keely Kalama-Lakey; brother Vernon; sisters Rosella Kalama-Akiona, Pearl Kaeo, Kealoha Kalama-Cabral and Jackie Maynard; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Aug. 10 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Services: 10:30 a.m. Burial: 1 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
