81Kenneth Kalei "Superstar" Hoopai Sr., 74, of Wailuku died at home. He was born in Hana, Maui. He is survived by sons Nick, Steven, David, George and Bruce; daughters Dayna Kaia, and Beatrice and Starlet Hoopai; brothers Joseph Manaois Sr., and Solomon Jr. and Louis "Anson" Hoopai Sr.; sisters Catherine "Lina" Tanoue, Virginia "Blondie" Kuaana, Melanie-Jean Hoopai, Lynette Malaikini, Barbara-Ann Benton, Robin Sylva and Martha Mizner; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
