She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1943. She was also longtime employee of Hawaii National Bank retiring as an Assistant Vice President. A superb cook, her potato buns were always a highly requested item at family gatherings. She loved teaching and sharing her knowledge of the Chinese culture & New Year traditions with students from schools across the Island of Oahu. Busloads of school children scheduled field trips a year in advance to see her display and to hear her presentation. An average of 3,500 children and adults would visit each year.
