74Shirley Rego Elento, 81, of Wahiawa, a teacher, counselor and Hawaii State Teachers Association leader, died in Wahiawa. She was born in Waialua. She is survived by husband Osmondo "Chester," sons Richard and Thomas, daughter Anna Elento-Sneed and seven grandchildren. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. Aug. 18 at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel.
