Dinah Leone Kaikuana, 79, of Hilo, a Hawaiian language teacher for the state of Hawaii, died in Hospice of Hilo-Pohai Malama Facility. She was born in Papaaloa, Hawaii. She is survived by sons John Makua, Uikirifi Kaikuana, Charlie Kahepuu and H. Nawaii; daughters Marie, Kathy and Raquel P.; brothers Jacob and Paul Mahi; sisters Elizabeth Halualani, Katherine Mahi and Phoebe Hopfe; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Aug. 26 at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 7 p.m. Graveside services: 9 a.m. Aug. 27 at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
