EMMA AALA ERNESTBURG Age 78, of Laie, HI, passed away August 17, 2016 in Laie, HI. Born October 19, 1937 in Honolulu, HI. Emma was involved in scouting for over 50 years and she was a Silver Beaver and Silver Fawn recipient (highest scouting award for BSA leaders in the council) and Silver Antelope an outstanding award for her service to youth in the BSA Western Region. She is survived by husband, William Kanila Tripp Ernestburg; sons, William K. T. Ernestburg III; McKay (Leimomi) Ernestburg; daughters, Cirilla "Chocho" M. K. Paclib, Willemma H. K. (Damien) Kekahuna, Leialoha G. K. (Lincoln) Mataalii, Gilberta K. L. Ernestburg, Siliwa G. K. Ernestburg; brothers, Jacob P. (Gwen) Kaleikini, James (Patricia) Young; sisters, Hope L. Kaleikini, Violet (Jim) Hawkins; 28 grand- children; 50 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation 9:30 a.m., Friday (Sept. 2) at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints-Laie Seventh Ward (55-600 Naniloa Lp., Laie). Funeral service 11:30 a.m. Burial 1:30 p.m. at Laie Cemetery.
