Dick S. Tawata, 79, of Honolulu, a Hawaiian Telephone Co. retiree and an Army veteran, died. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Daryl, son Sheldon, daughter Dawn, brother James, sister Helen Inazaki and four grandchildren. Private services.
