80Melvin Akira "Mel" Matsuno, 72, of Honolulu, retired owner and mechanic of Continental Auto Service Inc., died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Rosemary H. "Rose"; son Des A.; daughters Michelle S. Kinoshita, Dawn M. Balmilero and Sandi A. Kawamura; sisters Nellie C. Tamashiro and Barbara F. Matsuno; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Sept. 8 at Diamond Head Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Aloha attire. No flowers.
