ERNEST KAZUSO KIMURA
ERNEST KAZUSO KIMURA Ernest Kazuso Kimura, born in Honolulu, passed away at Nuuanu Hale on July 30, 2016. He was 89 years old. Ernest was owner and operator of City Fender and Body Service, a family business founded in 1941 by father Mitsuo Kimura. A member of Mid Pacific Country Club, Ernest was an avid and skilled golfer. He was also a lifelong fisherman, hunter and lover of music. After his retirement he became an expert landscaper, raising orchids and prolifically growing vegetables from an organic garden he created, and was sought after for his skilled handiwork and craftsmanship. A daily walker, he was seen every early morning trekking the hills and vales of Dowsett Highlands. Ernest is survived by his spouse of 65 years Shizue Kimura, son Paul (Keiko) Kimura, daughters Kathryn (Raymond Nakagawa) Kimura and Frances (Russell) Chung, sisters Lillian(James) Nishi and Mildred Oshiro, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by daughter Laura Kimura and sister Ellen Masaki. Private services were held. Ernest's family has been gratified by the flood of well-wishers who gathered by his side while confined at the Hale, and all who have since mourned with them over the loss of an enterprising, compelling and beloved friend and loved one.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
