73Jan Masako Kawabata, 62, of Honolulu, a retired Wailupe Elementary and Kaahumanu Elementary schools teacher, died. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by husband Robert K. "Bob" Sonoda, sons Scott and Kenan Sonoda, brother Thomas T. Kawabata and sister Sylvia S. Kawabata. Visitation: 2 p.m. Sept. 11 at Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin. Services: 3 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
