ALLEN R. WEHR July 2 2016 Allen Wehr 93, of Honolulu, a retired printer, died at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Hanamaulu, Kauai and moved to Oahu at an early age. He loved Waikiki beach and started surfing when he was six and continued into his 80's. He lived most of his life in the Diamond Head area near the ocean. He graduated from Roosevelt High School, attended the University of Hawaii and was an avid UH football fan. He was a combat veteran of World War II. After the war he lived in Paris for a year and was in charge of security for the U.S ambassador. He was a devoted husband and father and will truly be missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Rose Wong Wehr, his son Wayne Wehr, his daughter Wanda Wehr, his daughter Wendy Petersen, son in law Pete Petersen, grandson William Allen Glisson and his two dogs Lily and Sammy. Private services.
