80Irene Taeko Shintani, 73, of California, formerly of Hilo, a retired employee for UPS in California, died in California. She was born in Hilo. She is survived by sons John and Duane Nishimoto, and Randy Kimura; brothers Masaichi, Jimmy, Ronald and Glenn Shintani; sisters Joyce Itagaki, Violet Yoshida and Janice Koya; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation: 4 p.m. Sept. 15 at Dodo Mortuary-Hilo. Services: 5 p.m. Casual attire.
