Robert “Bob” Paul Freitas, Sr.
$nameROBERT BOB PAUL FREITAS, SR. Robert Paul Freitas, Sr., a resident of Kaneohe, Hawaii passed away Friday, August 5, 2016; born in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 4, 1929. Bob graduated from Kaimuki High School in 1949.During this time, Bob was the band leader and trumpet player of "Bones & the Skeletons" and headed up the team squad for the Kaimuki Cheerleaders. He was the Owner and President of Robert P. Freitas Enterprises, Inc., dba Construction Materials in Honolulu since 1971. After serving his country for 28 years, Bob retired from the Air National Guard as Sergeant First Class (E7) in December 1989. He was the "King of Poker" for many years and known for telling jokes. He was a member of Hope Chapel's Time Setters. Bob is preceded by his wife, Florence Freitas of 56 years and son Robert Freitas, Jr. He is survived by his sister, Pearl Jackson, sons Rockland "Rocky" Freitas, Troy Freitas, Steven "Kuni" Freitas, Ryan Gilla and Lyle Freitas, daughter Olympia Freitas, and four grandchildren, Rockland Freitas, Jr., Dezmond Gilla, Brittany Sekiya and Mikaela Freitas. Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Valley of the Temples Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Service to begin at 10:30 a.m., with burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
