Richard Yun Hook Ching Sr., 82, of Waipahu, a retired Kamehameha Schools mechanic and an Army National Guard veteran, died. He was born in Kainaliu, North Kona, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Raymond, Clarence, Francis, Alvin, Roland and Ronald; daughters Colleen Pascua and Bernadine Keliikuli; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Sept. 17 at Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Private inurnment. Casual attire.
