FLORA A. PORTER Flora A. Porter, 90 died peacefully at her home in Kailua. She was a graduate of the University of Redlands with a music and education degree. She taught kindergarten for many years. She was 1st chair Oboe in the all women Orchestra in Long Beach, CA. She was married to the late Robert F. Porter, retired Sgt. Major, USMC for 65 years. After many duty stations they ended up in Hawaii where she was voted Military Wife of the Year. She was a Red Cross volunteer and a volunteer at The Shriner's Hospital for Crippled children for many years. Flora is a Past Queen of The Daughters of the Nile, Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and Mother Advisor for the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls for many years. She is survived by 3 children, Lloyd Porter, David Porter and Debbie Honea married to Bob Honea. (Mom's Buddy). 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, including triplets.
