ANN POWERS
ANN POWERS Ann Powers passed away at the age of 82 peacefully in her home in Honolulu, Hawaii on September 16th, 2016. She lived her life to the fullest with her own iconic style, surrounded with good food, great friends, and a generous spirit to all she loved. She began her life in Cranston, Rhode Island before moving to St. Paul Minnesota, where she married and raised her family. She then went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Fine Arts, and became a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society. She moved to Honolulu in the 1980's and spent her time traveling the world; many times to Italy as she took great pride in her heritage. When at home, she could be found on the tennis court, supporting the arts, and at home in her kitchen sharing her love of cooking with family and friends. Her persona and love of life was memorable to all who were fortunate enough to meet her. She is survived by her older brother Louis Jalongo, her sister Madeline Aronson, her daughters Colleen Wheeler and Kim Fesler Von Ende (Joel) her stepsons Dan, Jeff, and Tim Fesler, and her Grandchildren Ryan Oelrich, Craig Von Ende, and Lorrie Albers (Ben). She will be forever in our hearts as she watches over us all from above. Mass for Ann will be held at St. Augustine by the Sea Friday the morning of September 23rd at 7:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to charitable foundations in her honor.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
