GERRY JORDAN July 18,2016 Gerry Jordan born in London, England passed away in Las Vegas at the age of 84. He was a Honolulu resident for 30 years and a Travel Executive. He was President and opened the Hawaii office for AITS, a company that was one of the original owners of the Hawaiian Regent Hotel and a large mainland wholesaler of trips to Hawaii. Gerry was instrumental in planning and overseeing the completion of the Hawaiian Regent Hotel, which is now the Waikiki Marriott. Gerry left AITS to start his own company, Jordan Leisure a destination management company that not only was responsible for the beginning years of Island travel, but was also overseeing thousands of guests arriving to the Islands. Jordan Leisure specialized in conventions and incentive travel which was unheard of at that time. The last 15 years he lived in Las Vegas and was Vice President of Sales for the Rivera Hotel before he retired to pursue personal interests. He is survived by two sisters Pam and Audrey of London, England and Nephew Michael Goldring of Armonk, NY. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday September 29 from 5-7pm at the Elks Club.
